Workplace Mediation
WORKPLACE CONFLICT |
Workplace Conflict is expensive, and costs US employers well over a billion dollars every year. In fact it is the single most preventable loss of revenue for businesses. The actual cost of conflict is seldom fully recognized. Many assume the costs come from the high fees and settlements generated through harassment and wrongful termination lawsuits. Although some costs come through litigation, the vast majority of revenue is lost without attracting much notice. The losses are the direct result of increased absenteeism, decreased productivity, diverted resources, employee turnover, decreased employee engagement, and increased stress-related health costs. We provide a host of employer sponsored conflict resolution services, including our Employee Mediation Benefit and Employee Training programs. Conflict is inherent in every workplace – and not all of it negative. In fact it is often seen as positive change agent, allowing increased workplace productivity and growth. Unfortunately, employers and management may not have the tools or ability to effectively intervene in the workplace dispute. Workplace mediation is an optimal means of resolving these issues and preventing escalation. An experienced mediator will facilitate a resolution to the dispute where all parties are in agreement. Our commitment at CFR is Peaceful • Positive • Resolution by assisting all parties through the dispute resolution process – preventing the additional stress, cost, and dis-empowerment that so often comes with ongoing conflict.
The workplace conflicts that can be effectively addressed through mediation include:
